Matt Curtis is the director of government relations at HomeAway Inc, an online vacation rental marketplace. He also serves as Chairman of the Mayor’s Council on the Economy and Chair of the Government Affairs Committee at the Vacation Rental Managers Association (VRMA). Curtis has represented the City of Austin at the United States Conference of Mayors and the National League of Cities.
Previously he was deputy to Austin mayors Lee Leffingwell and Will Wynn. In 2011, Curtis won "Austinite of the Year" in the Austin Under 40 Awards and also joined the Harvard Kennedy School Urban Policy Advisory Board to work on national best practices facing American cities. Curtis' charity work includes affiliations with Capital Area Food Bank, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Students of the World, the Rainforest Project and the Art Alliance.
He earned his bachelor's degree in radio, television and film from the University of North Texas.
